When I acquired this I though it was an over-sized day dress but when I went to put it onto the mannequin realized that is actually a half skirted

The skirt also falls on the bias from a curved seam at the waist and there is a high slit that exposes the thigh - set so high that it is almost scandalous

The body is a slim column of black silk that is topped by a curved inset is a silk satin to create the bodice. Over this is a simple halter style neckline that is cut inset and square at the front and then changes to two skinny straps at the back to allow for a greater expanse of skin! The edges around the bust line are finished with a metallic flat piped ribbon
